Volunteer staff wanted for "SpoGOMI Koshien Okayama Prefectural Tournament in Uno Port"

The prefectural qualifying tournament for "SpoGOMI Koshien 2025" will be held at Uno Port Seaside Park in Tamano City.
"SpoGOMI Koshien" is a competition in which high school students (aged 15-18) from all over the country compete to clean up trash in each area and determine the "best high school student trash cleaner in Japan!" "SpoGOMI Koshien" started in 2019 and this year is the 7th tournament.
Tamano City is currently recruiting volunteer staff for the Okayama Prefecture qualifying tournament. We look forward to receiving applications from people who can help out.
■1. Date: Monday, October 13, 2025 (National Holiday) 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
■2. Location: Around Uno Port ■3. Meeting place: Uno Port Seaside Park (1-1 Chikko, Tamano City)
*This is the square in front of JR Uno Station where the goddess statue is located. *The opening and closing ceremonies (award ceremonies) and commemorative photo opportunities will also be held above.
■4. Meeting time: 8:30 AM
■5. Activities: Checking for student safety at intersections, guiding students, etc. ■6. Clothing: Wear comfortable clothing and bring a drink to prevent heatstroke (staff bibs will be provided)
*If the event is cancelled due to severe weather such as a typhoon, it will be postponed to November 3rd.
* "Spo GOMI Koshien" is a litter-cleaning competition in which high school students (aged 15-18) from all over the country compete to determine the "best high school student litter cleaner in Japan!" Teams of three people are assigned 60 minutes to pick up litter within a predetermined competition area, competing for both quality and quantity. It is the most environmentally friendly sport. The competition, which is held under the theme of raising awareness of the marine litter problem, is part of the Nippon Foundation's "Ocean and Japan Project," which connects people through the ocean in order to pass on the ocean to the next generation. This year's prefectural tournament will be held in Tamano City!!
This will be a valuable opportunity for high school students in the prefecture to learn about Tamano City. We appreciate your support.
