The Tamano City Tourism Association was established in 1966, and in order to promote tourism within the city and to operate on a wider scale, it became an incorporated association in 2001, and a public interest incorporated association in 2013. The members of the association are made up of businesses with characteristics unique to Tamano, tourism-related organizations, and various other groups, and they work on various projects and tourism measures while cooperating with related organizations and government agencies both within and outside the prefecture. The association's core activity is to "revitalize the businesses and people of Tamano City by promoting tourism," and it will continue to work more energetically in the future as an organization that brings vitality and abundance to the entire city of Tamano through tourism.
Main Activities
Providing tourist information
- Information dissemination via the internet, including official websites and SNS
- Issuance of various pamphlets, posters and flyers
Attracting tourists by hosting events
- Shibukawa Wisteria Festival, Saigyo Festival, Dream Creatures Recruitment, etc.
Promoting wide-area tourism
- Promotional activities at Tottori Okayama Shinbashi Hall and events both within and outside the prefecture
- Providing information and appearing in various media
- Planning and development of materials to promote Tamano City
Seminars
- Planning and running seminars that are beneficial for business owners
Tourist Information
- Operation of Tamano Tourist Information Center and tourist information for customers who make inquiries
Cooperation and support with government and various organizations
- Tamano City, Tamano Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Prefectural Federation, Setouchi Triennale Executive Committee, Tamano Tourist Volunteer Guide Tsutsuji Association, etc.
Information on joining
In order to revitalize the entire city of Tamano, the Tamano City Tourism Association is working on various projects and tourism initiatives, including holding events and the traditional festival, the Tamano Festival "Kakkaraka," discovering new local resources such as the city's scenic spots and historical culture, and utilizing them for tourism. As an organization that can bring prosperity to the entire city of Tamano through tourism projects and initiatives, our association will continue to work on a wider range of projects in the future.
In order to make our city a place where everyone can become a fan, we ask that you join our association and support us.
- Membership fee (annual)
- 3,000 yen (individuals), 5,000 yen or more (companies/businesses)
- Member Benefits
- Introducing and guiding people to various events, introducing the company and posting event information on X (formerly Twitter), securing radio appearance slots, and if the company has a website, including the company name in the links collection.
- Eligibility for membership
- Anyone who agrees with and supports the Tamano City Tourism Association's objectives can become a member, not just Tamano residents.
In addition, any business or individual can become a member.
