Let's go on Tamano City's community bus "Seabass"♪ We recommend a leisurely course around the city!!
In the Toji area of Tamano City, you can see the Jizo statues that have been made up using traditional cosmetics, and in Miyama Park, one of the largest parks in the prefecture, you can see a beautiful waterfall known as the Phantom Waterfall. The reason this waterfall is called a phantom waterfall is that it only appears during certain periods when the water volume increases and when various factors come together. Even when you can't see the waterfall, Miyama Park is a relaxing spot where you can take a leisurely stroll through the vast natural surroundings.
By taking a stroll with the volunteer guides of Tsutsuji no Kai, you can hear plenty of little anecdotes, trivia, and stories related to history! We look forward to hearing from you.

Makeup Jizo (Western Jizo)
In the Toji and Hachihama districts of Tamano City, there is an ancient custom of children putting makeup on Jizo statues, which you can actually see here. Miyama Park Phantom Waterfall
This Bizen region was hit by a great famine after the great disaster of 1654. In order to secure water, which was essential for rice cultivation, the lord of the castle at the time, "Ikeda Mitsumasa", ordered Ishikawa Zen'emon to build Taizu Pond and Naka Pond in Miyama Park and completed the "Miyama Irrigation Canal" that could supply water. This beautiful waterfall can only be seen when the water level is adjusted, and is known as the "Phantom Waterfall".
