Tamano City is full of art, including the JR Uno Minato Line Art Project, art experience workshops, and works such as Uno's Black Porgy that were created and exhibited during the Setouchi Triennale. There is a lot of art at Uno Port that you can see while riding the train, and you can stroll around while eating delicious sweets. After a long stroll, you can also relax and unwind in a hot spring!
Let's start by taking the train from Okayama Station or Chayamachi Station.

Bicycles as art

First of all, let's rent a bicycle here!! This is a project to turn abandoned bicycles into art. The iron is heated, hammered, and welded to create a new bicycle. Station East Warehouse

It is the largest art studio in the city, bringing together many artists working in a range of fields including three-dimensional art, dyeing, woodworking, and leather.
On the first Sunday of every month, the studio opens to the public, allowing visitors to see artists at work, which is not normally available to the public. Reservations are required for each booth.
They also hold various workshops and events such as experience classes from time to time, making this an essential spot for those wanting to fully enjoy art.

It was made with the image of a black porgy (chinu). Setouchi Hot Spring Tamanoyu

Enjoy the open-air bath while looking out at the sea

After a stroll through the art, a soak in a hot spring is the perfect way to soothe your travel fatigue while gazing out at the Seto Inland Sea. The two types of baths, "Tanada no Yu" and "Sawa no Yu," are replaced every Monday. Taking a bath in a hot spring while feeling the sea close by is sure to soothe your travel fatigue!
