Yanagihata Battlefield Site
This is the place where the fighting between the Mori and Ukita armies began during the second Battle of Hachihama in August 1582.
This war resulted in the death of Ukita Yotaro Motoie, and many other casualties on both sides. This memorial tower was built to console the souls of those who died in battle.
